What We Do

We specialise in providing a personal photographic service to professional and amateur photographers, image users, students and distributors everywhere which has included education, television, film, magazines, picture libraries, galleries, museums and medical imaging... you've probably seen images produced by us.

Our Services

Photographic Lab Services include:

• E-6 Colour Transparency Film Processing - Colour slide film developing (all roll film formats between 35mm and 70mm).
• Transparency Duplicating - 35mm and 70mm colour slide duplicating from formats between 35mm and 5"x4" including panoramic formats such as 35mm Hasselblad XPan and Linhof 120 / 6x12.
• Black & White Film Processing - B&W film developing (35mm, 120 and 5"x4") and Printing from all negative film formats from 35mm to 5"x4" including Hasselblad XPan panoramic films, plus old and obsolete formats like 110, 126, 127, 116 and 620 including glass plate negatives up to 5"x4".

Other services include:

• Film Recording colour transparency and B&W negative filmouts from digital images. NEW
• Colour Copy Transparencies and Slides from photographs or flat artwork.
• B/W Copy Negatives from photographs or flat artwork.
• B/W Duplicate Negatives from B/W negatives.
• B/W Internegatives from B/W or colour transparencies.
• Cine Film Services from film formats (from 8mm to 70mm).
• Digital Film Scanning from B/W or colour negatives and transparencies.
• FTP Image Transmitting from most digital image files.
• 35mm Cinema Slide Production for cinema advertising.

Please Note: there are no Colour Negative (C-41 / RA-4) Processing and Printing services available from us!

John Salim Photographic is a member of the British Institute of Professional Photographers (BIPP) 'Encouraging higher standards in photography' (member since 1990).

All enquiries and International orders are welcome. For your convenience you can now pay for orders using 'PayPal'.

On this website you'll find links to photographic equipment and material manufacturers and stockists plus a specialist processing laboratory for all those old and obsolete films.

Latest: We're happy to be printing for 'Stars in Southend 1963', a website dedicated to photographer Derek Cross's photographs of the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Cliff Richard and many more. Most were taken at Southend's Odeon cinema back in 1963. Please take a look !
